B.C. Teachings 2010

Changling Rinpoche's Teachings in British Columbia, Summer 2010

Changling Rinpoche

At the age of ten Changling Rinpoche was recognized as a tulku by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. He is a lineage holder of the Rechung Kagyu, based on the transmission of Milarepa's disciple Rechungpa. He resides at Shechen Monastery, founded by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. He is the abbot of the Shechen Shedra and works closely with Rabjam Rinpoche in directing the monastery.

All philosophy, all relative truth has limits. They are only valid to a certain level. If you go deeper things will start to fall off. Ultimately valid cognition is your own present belief. So don't be arrogant about your truth or your logic."

~ Changling Rinpoche

RECHUNG GAR RETREAT:

Teaching on Mahamudra based on the Rechungpa lineage.

Thursday, August 12 – Sunday, August 15
This four-day retreat will expand on last year’s teachings but is open for anyone who feels a connection to being here. Each day will include silent meditation, group practice, teachings from Changling Rinpoche, and yoga.

Venerable Changling Rinpoche is the only remaining holder of the Rechungpa lineage of Mahamudra based on the formless dakini teachings passed down from Milarepa to his heart son, Rechungpa. Tilopa received these teachings directly from Vajrayogini whose teachings resounded from the dharmata as sound. The lineage of transmission passed on to Naropa, who passed them on to Marpa the translator, who in turn gave them to Milarepa. From Milarepa three distinct lineages of oral instructions are discerned: the lineages of Rechungpa, Gampopa and Namzongpa.

The oral lineage of Rechungpa, who is known as Milarepa's spiritual son, is the only lineage which contains the complete teachings of the formless dakini.
